I am a counsellor, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a partner, a friend, a teacher, a fellow human-being who will offer to be with you in exploring the issues that you bring. You may be experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, life transitions, or another form of distress in the complex spectrum of human suffering, or perhaps you want to discover more of who you are.
I offer a warm, compassionate and confidential space in which we can develop a therapeutic relationship based on trust and safety, where you can feel truly seen and your voice can be heard. Whilst my aim is not to provide a solution to your problems, I hope to help you develop greater awareness, understanding and acceptance of how and who you are, developing resilience, uncovering new meaning and potential for change.

My therapy practice
I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Humanistic Psychotherapeutic Counselling from the University of Brighton. My training involved Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, person-centred and existential approaches. I have since trained in Walk & Talk Therapy (Creative Counsellors).
I have provided counselling to women at the trauma-informed Brighton Women’s Centre and at the counselling service for students at the Greater Brighton Metropolitan College. I worked at Valentine Voice Care in Lewes, offering counselling as part of their team of practitioners, providing holistic support to professional voice users and people experiencing voice related issues.
I currently work in private practice at New Road Psychotherapy Centre in Brighton and Hove, and at The Open Door in Lewes, providing short-term and open-ended counselling to adult individuals with varied lived-experiences. I am also a practitioner with the funded mental health support scheme organised by BAPAM, which offers free short-term therapy to those who work in the performing arts.
I have supported clients who have experienced anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, family difficulties, abuse, self-harm, suicidality, loss and grief.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the British Association of Performing Arts Medicine (BAPAM)
